1Market Description
This is a market on whether the United States will report a 7-day average of under 75,000 COVID-19 cases between September 15, 2021 and November 15, 2021 inclusive. This market will resolve on data from the CDC's Data Tracker, specifically, the 7-day moving average of COVID-19 cases for the United States, which is available at https://covid.cdc.gov/covid-data-tracker/#trends_dailytrendscases (navigate to "Select a state or territory" and select “United States”, and then scroll to "Data Table for Daily Case Trends" and view the data in the "7-Day Moving Avg" column, which is able to be sorted in descending order). The resolution source will be reviewed once daily at 8 PM ET, to see if the United States reported a 7-day COVID-19 case average between September 15 and November 15 inclusive of below 75,000. If an average below 75,000 is detected, it will be checked again 7 days later. If it is still under 75,000 at that point, the market will be resolved. If it is 75,000 or above, then the market will not resolve based on that data point. The final check will be on November 22, 2021, 8 PM ET, checking the 7-day average on all days from September 15, 2021 to November 15, 2021. If no average under 75,000 is detected at this point, the market will end and resolve "No."
